If you want some shielding from bad advice consult the HOWTO on http://www.mythtv.org Any advice you get from any source may be incorrect, but I think you are being a bit hasty in blaming developer ego's for bad advice you get from some random user on #mythtv-users. If the bad advice was in the HOWTO on http://www.mythtv.org for a released version of MythTV by all means heap scorn, or better yet provide a fix for the HOWTO. -- Daniel
