Hmmm, yes I checked out sqlite.org this morning, and there does seem to have been some effort in solidifying 64-bit support. My experience came from the version of SQLite shipped with Qt 3.3.2, running on a Solaris 8 SPARC box. My understanding is that SPARC may have some additional alignment issues that don't necessarily apply across-the-board to other 64-bit platforms.
