Thoughts/comments?
OK, one other thing that is fairly dear to my heart...
I would like to seperate the generation of the video streams a little
more seperate from the consumption (thinking backend now). The idea
would be that even when all the cards are recording tv you can still go
to "live tv", it's just that you can only see the currently tuned
channels. Likewise if you want two recordings to overlap on the same
channel then the single card should be able to feed both. The deeper
reason is then to be able to deal with TV cards which can potentially
supply more than one video feed at a time, eg DVB type cards where you
can supply video for all channels on a single multi-plex from one card.
I think the implementation is not so hard, but I have totally run out of
free time over the last 6 months (starting my own business and have a
new baby...).
Anyway, just hoping it will go up on the wall chart of interesting
future developments
