Because I need this to finish my shoutcast/icecast support and because the tree generation is too slow - so currently my focus is the tree, not the ipod support. Basically, I want a more manageable tree. Once I have that, it's easier to to have audio/mp3 cds and ipods appear in them, then it becomes easier to work the ipod/whateverpod into the UI overall. I can see that copying playlists to the devices doesn't require this, but copying from the device to the box would need it. eskil ---
