Yes. However if you are the sole copyright holder; there is no legal
requirement for you to adhere to your own license.

However, this makes the GPL license useless, as nobody else can
distribute the code without the source code. So why bother even using
the GPL?
But I can guarantee you that Yahoo! Broadband isn't the sole copyright holder of the Linux kernel, and I'll bet there's much more software on the system (the "various trappings and utilities/apps" mentioned by Johnathon) that includes other people's copyrighted code...
