I used to follow that procedure... but then I found it is much easier to just use osx-packager.pl in the contrib directory. It builds all of the dependancies and throws them into a self contained bundle. You can build different parts of myth by messing with the script.

Hi,

I'm trying to port more of MythTV to MacOS X. I've done plenty of
Linux development, but no Mac development since OS9. Instructions I
can find for setting up the build for Linux are at best intricate, and
how to translate those to MacOS X is not obvious me. I was hoping
someone could point me the way, just to get me started.

Many thanks in advance,

Well, I found http://www.mythtv.info/moin.cgi/MythOnMacOsx, which is
obviously the procedure of the frontend developer. I'll follow that
and ask again for help if I get stuck. Sorry for the noise.
