This works GREAT for me! Just one (seemingly stupid question), what's necessary in order to change the resolution of the blank video frames? I'd either prefer a 16/9 aspect or an NTSC (640x480).

Awesome. I had a DVB radio patch on 18.1 which works the same as yours (adding dummy frames to playback), but I agree this new approach made possible by the dummy recorder sounds good. I'd not had time to update mine to svn in the last few months so be good to get this functionality back!
