I'm using FC2. FC3 didn't go that far (I tried it about a week before you updated to the FC3 docs) - and I wasn't sure if my problems were related to FC3 or not, so I figured I had nothing to lose and went "back" to FC2.
The LIRC is working now - somebody posted the "new grey" Hauppauge remote configuration, and that worked for me. (Thanks, by the way!) I've set the screen size to 640x400-ish in the Myth configuration screens and have been messing with the offset in an attempt to shift the picture fully onto the picture. I don't see enough information to even know what the prompts are. Is there some trick to activate the offsets? I see the numbers, but they don't seem to be having any effect. There are other checkboxes on the page but I cannot read them since they're far enough off the screen to mask a few words. I've tried both positive and negative offsets just in case. I think I've got other issues, but I'm not confident that the configuration has been done correctly since I don't see part of the configuration text. :-( Thanks for any info! -Rob -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jarod Wilson Sent: Tuesday, November 30, 2004 10:47 PM To: Discussion about mythtv Subject: Re: [mythtv-users] Some more questions... I helped set up a fresh(ish) FC3 box today, had zero problems getting lirc to work after adding a udev rule. In /etc/udev/rules.d/lirc.rules: KERNEL="lirc0", SYMLINK="lirc" > 2. The 350's output can't do anything but 720x480 (for ntsc, 720x576 for pal), and there's no control of overscan. That's as good as it gets right now. -- Jarod C.
