Hey Nate, I have had the same problem every reboot I have to modprobe lirc_i2c then service lircd start then exit out of the frontend and restart it. I have my lircd_i2c at the bottom of my modprobe.conf file and my ivtv at the beginning yet it still fails to load properly. I followed Jarods howto and am wondering if there is another place that is loading the lirc_i2c module?
