Does this have anything to do with msp3400? I had a similar problem (albeit on FC2) and had to add "alias msp3400 msp3400-ivtv" (with out quotes) into my modprobe.conf. Worked after that. Geoff -- I have one Gmail invite left. Let me know if you want one (off list).
