I'm afraid I don't use the same transmitter as you, however try adding '-n' to the arguments for dvbscan.
If that doesn't help, check your uk-SuttonColdfield file contains the tuning information which is specified here:

http://pvrguide.no-ip.com/bbs/index.php?showtopic=4481&st=15

Else I can't help I'm afraid... Perhaps you need a stronger aerial. If it's a possibility you might want to check using the Windows software for your card (ugh).

On a similar line, has anyone got a channels.conf for the uk-Bilsdale transmitter? I am using my own advice above, but I seem to be missing one of the muxes (the one with TMF/The Hits on). Not a big loss, but it's a bit annoying. All other muxes work fine. I believe the Bilsdale transmitter puts this mux at a lower power output. Hopefully if I can get the channels.conf info, I might be able to lock onto a (weak) signal? (My 2 other Freeview STBs don't have this problem).

Subject: [mythtv-users] UK DVB - Working channels.conf foruk-SuttonColdfield please

Hey List,

Having got my Nova-T PCI installed and working as far as I can see, I am
having real troubles try to get dvbscan to output details of all digital
channels available. Using the latest CVS of dvd-apps, when I run:

./dvbscan dvb-t/uk-SuttonColdfield > channels.conf

I usually only get output from one of the frequencies (multiplex 2 - so
Channel4/ITV) in the uk-SuttonColdfield channels config. We have strong
analogue reception here but have not been able to test with a Digibox.

I successfully used tzap and cat to capture the transport stream from ITV2
so I know the card is actually locking on to a signal and capturing it
without a problem.

I just want to test the card to see if I have a working channels.conf for
the Sutton Coldfield Tx whether tzap/mythtv can lock on to the channels that
dvbscan cannot.

This has now replaced my prior problem with getting X to work on the 350's
TV-out on my 'why doesn't this work?' to-do list, but because the card is
locking on to one set of channels, I can't see why it isn't working.
Hopefully by Christmas Day it'll all be working smoothly ...

I double checked the uk-SuttonColdfield file against the published listing
for the Tx on ofcom.org.uk and we're all in agreement, so if a kind soul
from the Midlands could post or mail me their working config I'll give it a
try ASAP.

Here is the output from the scan for info:

so it seems it's working through the frequencies, but just not getting them
all. Repeated attempts doesn't alter anything, but I'll try again after 6pm
to see if anything different occurs.

Many thanks,

Nick
