Environment: Mythsuite 0.16 installed using apt-get Fedora Core 3 kernel 2.6.9 Single machine setup
Status: Unable to play TV Other issues: Varied - see other thread on looping filldatabase Current problem: Mythfrontend looping Actions: 1. Started Mythbackend - messages seem ok to me (see below) 2. Started Mythfrontend - messages seem ok to me (see below) 3. Played DVD - seemed to work fine but no control over playing - certainly not in ogle class 4. Stopped DVD playing with CTL-C 5. Selected Play TV in MythFrontend Result: Resolution of screen changed from 1024 x 768 (?) to 640 x 480 (?) anyway the letters and windows swell in size 6. TV Displays what seems to be an empty schedule (probably related to my problem with filldatabase) 7. Try to exit MythTV by pressing ESC Result: All hell breaks loose More explicitely - The myth front-end console starts spewing the same messages (see below) and I have to CTL-C the Mythfrontend console. Frequency of occurrence:Every time MythTV is selected *****mythfrontend messages ************** [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# mythfrontend 2004-12-30 20:05:35 mythfrontend version: 0.16.20040906-1 www.mythtv.org2004-12-30 20:05:35 Enabled verbose msgs : important general DisplaRes::switch_res: desired resolution not available 2004-12-30 20:05:36 switchToGUI: xrandr failed for 0 x 0 Somehow, your screen size settings are bad.
