Sure you cleaned the port? From what I have just seen, they can get dirty and dont want to work right.

I cant get mythmusic to accept anything ALSA!!
/dev/adsp works OK, but it will only play 48khz files. all my mp3s are 44.1k.
I was under the impression that /dev/adsp was supposed to convert the bitrate if required.
