Take a look at: http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-10.html#ss10.5 If you configure a transcoder from your source material to encode to mpeg4, you can even automatically have your programs transcoded. (or manually schedule one recording for transcoding ('x' is the key for that, I think). Wouter
