It does do TV out with the available add-on converter. This would make a killer frontend! How does MythTV work on Mac OS X these days?

Well, there seems to be a problem with running the 0.16 frontend on a wireless network (see my post from 3 days ago), but on Ethernet it works just fine. You'll need the DVI -> S-Video adaptor and the Keyspan Remote (or a bluetooth keyboard) and you're set.
