I have my myth box set up to overrun recordings by 4 minutes, which is usually long enough to catch any normal overruns in the scheduling. However, if I have two shows set to record, even on different channels, and those shows are contiguous in time then the 4 minute overrun is ignored and the tuner recording show one stops exactly at the scheduled end time and then immediately switches to record show two, leaving the second tuner unused.
The 2 minutes I set to record before the beginning of the schedule also seems to be ignored when this happens. Is this normal behaviour? I'd prefer the overrun time to be honoured even if it means the box uses both tuners to record for the overlap time. I know both tuners can be used to record as I have had two shows at the same time but different channels recorded ok. My backend log at the end of show 1 looks like: 2005-01-12 22:00:00.003 switching to overrecord for 240 more seconds 2005-01-12 22:00:02.139 Finished recording Distant Shores on channel: 3 2005-01-12 22:00:02.211 scheduler: Finished recording 2005-01-12 22:00:02.255 Changing from RecordingOnly to None 2005-01-12 22:00:02.261 Closing DVB recorder 2005-01-12 22:00:02.262 DVB#0 Expiring DVB quality data older than 14 day(s) 2005-01-12 22:00:02.410 Started recording "Desperate Housewives" on channel: 4 on cardid: 1, sourceid 1 2005-01-12 22:00:02.415 DVB#0 Trying to tune to channel 4. Is there some obvious setting somewhere I'm missing to change this? -- Neil Milne
