Easist thing to do if you want to use a serial port is just use a serial port ir blaster.

When I plug a USB keyboard into my SA Explorer 3100, it will change the channels by pressing the up and down arrows or by inputting a number. Has anyone tried using a serial to USB cable on one of these?
