But good luck.

Thanks for the config file JJ, I tried the DISH remote one, but it is still the same. What remote code is that supposed to be on, the default (1)?
I think I'm going to have to build my own cable and ir blaster. I don't trust this one. Something is strange here.
thanks,
Pb

Hi John, yes, the expressvu box is the same as dish, I'm told. That would be great if you could send me your ledxmitd.conf.
thanks, Pb

--(Assuming you're using a Dish Network box) I wound up using a JVC file with a remote named JVC_RAW in it. I can't find the file now, but I can email you my ledxmitd.conf if you'd like.

Hi, I bought an irblaster from http://www.irblaster.info/, nice looking unit. I followed the irblaster howto to the letter, and everything seems to be working ok, BUT no channels change. -ledxmitd is logging events -infra red pulses coming out of the device when I run the change_channel scripts (I checked with a digital camera) -no channel changing at all!! -tried http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/echostar/ -tried http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/expressvu/ -tried http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/dishnet/
I am starting to think that either some settings for my serial port are not right, or the irblaster is not the right one for the expressvu.
The echostar DBS config looks like the right one. I am not sure what is meant by the following comment though: "You may have to play with the one/zero widths to get it working on a particular computer." (see below)
I don't know what the one/zero settings should be or what they mean anyway.
I think my param.h HZ setting is 1000. Is there another place to set this in the linux kernel?
Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks, Pb

There are 16 # choices available, to avoid interference between nearby units. # I've recorded codes #6 (here) and #9. # # Pulse timing is more critical than usual for these receivers. # You may have to play with the one/zero widths to get it working # on a particular computer. A kernel compiled with HZ set to 1000 # or 1024 (rather than 100) is also helpful.
I have changed the remote code set to #6 and #9, since the config
offers both.
