I would just suggest getting a quieter fan. Just look at some online reviews and find a heatsink/fan combo for your processor that has a low noise rating. Most vendor sites will put the decible rating in the specs. As for the northbridge, you can probably just replace that with a bigger heatsink (with no fan), just make sure the case has good air flow. Also, I would highly discourage getting fans from CompUSA, the last 2 I have bought from there died in a matter of weeks under perfectly normal conditions. -- Loren H.
