Doug, Thanks for the response. Could you validate my thought process here? It seems that the HD-3000 has svideo in and the dct2000 (http://broadband.motorola.com/catalog/product_documents/DCT2000.pdf) has svideo out...would this not support the proper encoded video? Otherwise I fear the investment in a HD card to be very risky due to encryption. Is this the root of all HD-3000 trepidation?
