~From power on until MythTV menu I'm at 1 minute and 4 seconds. I could probably trim that down some more by tweaking startup scripts.
I'm using Slackware 10.0, having it boot straight into runlevel 4, which runs a custom script I did instead of XDM or KDM. That script launches MythTV directly. I can post the script if anyone is interested.
