The only thing that I can thing of is that I did a couple updates yesterday and this trouble began when I rebooted the machine.
I only use the at-stable tree, but I can't remember what updates I did. I do updates every few days (probably shouldn't...don't screw with what works), so it has to be something fairly recent.

When I watch live TV in MythTV, the video stops every few seconds and says "Prebuffering pause". Also, audio isn't working. However, when not in MythTV, the "tvtime" program display live TV just fine with audio.
I read around that it might be related to software based sound but I don't know if this is it or not. I also read something about disabling the NVidia driver but I don't know if that will have any effect (tvtime works).
