Hello.

I've still not figured out how MythTV can change channels as to my request. I've run setup, with xmltv-settings, done mythfilldatabase, so I don't see why the problem should be here. Specially when this was working fine with the older tv-card I used (without mpeg hardware-support).

Just in case someone should wonder, result from 'dmesg':
tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 48134, rev = J342, serial# = 6563634
tveeprom: tuner = Temic 4009FR5 (idx = 42, type = 20)
tveeprom: tuner fmt = PAL(B/G) (eeprom = 0x04, v4l2 = 0x00000007)

I have the same (allthough a slightly larger serial number).

If I use the tool included with the ivtv-driver, I'm able to set and change tv-channels. Also it's possible through the 'v4lctl' command to change channels. But as said MythTV doesn't. Can anybody help me out here?

I had the same problem and I had to verify the content of the
"channel" table - and it was totally wrong.

So start up some tool to look at mysql data and browse the "channel" table.
The two first channels I have look as follows:

+--------+---------+--------+----------+----------------+----------------+------+----------+--------------+---------------+-------------+----------+------------+--------+--------+----------+----------+---------+---------------+
| chanid | channum | freqid | sourceid | callsign | name | icon | finetune | videofilters | xmltvid | recpriority | contrast | brightness | colour | hue | tvformat | commfree | visible | outputfilters |
+--------+---------+--------+----------+----------------+----------------+------+----------+--------------+---------------+-------------+----------+------------+--------+--------+----------+----------+---------+---------------+
| 1 | 1 | E10 | 1 | DR 1 | DR 1 | none | [NULL] | | 003.tv.tv2.dk | 0 | 32768 | 32768 | 32768 | 32768 | PAL | 0 | 1 | |
| 2 | 2 | E9 | 1 | DR 2 | DR 2 | none | [NULL] | | 004.tv.tv2.dk | 0 | 32768 | 32768 | 32768 | 32768 | PAL | 0 | 1 | |
+--------+---------+--------+----------+----------------+----------------+------+----------+--------------+---------------+-------------+----------+------------+--------+--------+----------+----------+---------+---------------+

On a Linux list ? :-)

I'm sorry for that, the reason is that I wasn't able to connect to my "serious" mail-service at the time I entered this list. Not by any chance I would use this mail-account for anything serious ;-)

Anyhow, I figured that something would be wrong with my channel-list. So I started the setup-program and deleted prior settings for channels and card (ie answering yes on the two first questions). Well, that didn't do it either. But since I would like to include native lirc-support in mythtv I recompiled it. And after a recompile, everything worked out just fine. :-)

The only thing I'm woundering about now is if there exists a plugin that can make use of the radio-chip on the card? That would be the plugin I would wish for to make MythTV a complete suite. And, after taking a quick teorethical look at M$ MediaCenterEdition (maybe I stepped over a line here, mention a M$-product?), I would say that I'm not going to even try to install it! MythTV works great, even though I had to "fool" the xmltv-grabber (norway and sweden has got seperate grabbers now).
