Can it be? I think I finally figured out why there's been no sound in mythtv from my bt878 card piped through my sound card. Somewhere in my gaggle of googles, I came across this command:
(note: my second video card is on /dev/video1) # /usr/bin/v4lctl -c /dev/video1 volume mute off I ran this command, and two weeks of struggling with audio disappeared. Why on earth was my v4l muted in the first place? Why didn't MythTV unmute the v4l driver? Whatever. Larry
