Loren suggested: "not only do you not want to put the -qt flag in the USE variable, you want to explicitly state the qt flag in there. re-emerge mysql after you do that to build it with QT support." So I tried it. But I had previously re-emerged qt (I have had mysql in my USE list for quite a while so it should have been there the first time). -- Travis
