I have that option already selected in my setup. I looked at the log for the frontend because I only get sluggish video playback from my pvr-350 (see "prebuffering pause" in the frontend log) .
I do have X and the MythTV GUI showing on my TV, so it seems the TV-Out is mostly Ok. It just seems MythTV is not using the encoder on the TV-Out.
