So, my real question is, does Myth require >me to enable X over the tv-out or can Myth use the tv-out >with-out X? If Myth does not require X, which method is >easier/preferred - X over tv-out, or not. Again, sorry for >being dense. I would. I'm sure other people feel differently. Although when you take HD into consideration, the 350 becomes useless. As for X, I'm sure you can run Myth without X, but it's quite a bit more work, and the gain isn't all the great IMHO. In my situation, I hooked up the TV to my s-video out on the 5200, and the TV became my monitor. Crappy as it was, I could still see what I was typing. I use openoffice and can surf the web (using firefox outside myth) as well as use some of the pre-programmed web sites inside myth. I can also play xmame games through myth, and I've got some external games set up through the gameslist that work fine as well. I would not be able to play games or watch any HD content if I was using the 350 tv-out instead of a video card out. >From what I've read, the 350 is really nice if all you do is watch content recorded by myth or stuff that is in SD mpeg2. I don't know if mpeg2-ps will work through the 350. Paul
