I assume that means it connects to mysql just fine, but can't find the
mythconverg database. Can you connect from the remote frontend to the
database (mythconverg) from the mysql command line?

Yes, it connects to the DB. I can connect via mysql from the frontend
to the DB and select from any table, in fact even see the DBSchemaVer
variable using "select * from settings where value like 'DBSchemaVer'".
From what I have read previously, they recommended dropping the DB and
recreating it, but I would rather just fix the issue, whatever that
might be.
