A quick follow-up: It appears that the backend error corresponds to this error on the frontend:
RemoteFile::Read() failed in RingBuffer::safe_read() and then approx 3 seconds later I get the previously reported errors on the frontend. This happens within the first 5 or 10 minutes of the recording.
