think i need to put a quieter fan in the box.  i haven't spent too
much time trying to solve the noise problem.  thanks for the tips.

On the spdif question.  i'm able to use the spdif output to connect
the box to my audio receiver.  I've only tested stereo output though.
i haven't used mythdvd to test the dd/dts capabilities but don't think
there would be any problems.
