They use VGA output through something like the Audio Authority vga -> component
video converter.

I have one of those, but have a new TV which actually takes VGA (to 720p)
or strangely, r-g-b-hsync-vsync component video at 720p and 1080i. I can't
figure why that is, since they are the same thing -- vga is just r-g-b-h-v
in a single cable with a clock.

Once I get one of the cables for this I will sell my Audio Authority box
and save some bucks. (Plus it needs power)

But I would like to get DVI some day.

The linux drivers. You can get DVI to do 1080i under windows with powerstrip,
though not with the driver that comes with WinXP.

If somebody can figure what powerstrip is doing to make it work that
nvidia doesn't do, that would be cool.
