Hi,
I've installed mythtv (both tried latest stable as well as CVS) for use with a budget DVB-T card; the setup for that was succesfull.
I've scanned the channels for my area (gothenburg, Sweden) with mythtv/setup/setup by selecting the appropriate transponders. This also went fine; I even got teletext channels, although I am not sure if Mythtv recognized them as such.
But then when I manually want to change the channels (add teletext etc),
The only stuff that is supported is video and audio.
I cannot come into the DVB menu. I looked at a (maybe somewhat older) help page,
http://www.ethics-gradient.net/myth/mythdvb2.html
where it is stated that I should be able to enter the DVB channel editor, http://www.ethics-gradient.net/myth/images/chaned_pid.jpg
These pages no longer exist in cvs setup.
but which I can't find. When I go into the menu for an individual channel, after the first, common, screen, I come into a "video4linux" screen and can change the frequency, finetune etc. Shouldn't I come into the DVB screen instead? What do I do wrong?
nothing :)
Is the only way to go into the mythconverg database with mysql directly? Ifso, which table should I change? (dvb_channel didn't work).
You really shouldn't need to edit dvb channels. It's all done auto- magically. Is there a particular reason for doing this ?
Thanks for your help! It makes more sense now.
Some channels found in the scan do not seem to work. For instance, the teletext channels found in the scan. But there is also one other channel, which I have no clue of what it is, which doesn't work.
When I run mythtv and come to one of these channels, the program stops responding and I need to kill the frontend.
So, I would like to delete those channels from the list. But I haven't found a way in the setup program to do so. So I went't looking in the database and saw dvb_channel was empty.
Thanks again, Berend.
