That sounds pretty much dead on (at least as how I've done it.  Just
change the "config=" to whatever keystroke it should be.  For
instance, when I wanted to change what my guide button did, I changed
my lircrc file so under the GUIDE button, it said "config=S" instead
of "config=0"
