That wasn't a sneaky ad for AMD64 ;)

All I am saying is that the 2GB limit never stroke me, and I hoped
this was true cross-platform for FC. But given that some folks report
issues, perhaps I was lucky for running on 64bits.

No, none of my PVR hardware runs on 64bits, only the build and web
server, so I'm also old school ;)
