Both PS and TS recordings will record all audio streams and so you will be able to select between audio tracks even when watching recordings. The auto selection algorithm has been improved to select AC3 tracks in preferrence to MPEG tracks, and it now initialises the audio correctly when you change channels which was your original problem.
