To answer, yes I have a firewall in the router. I would like to be able to transfer my mp3s to the mythbox, so I can play that directly through myth. I would also like to be able to transfer video files back and forth as needed (at some point, I also would like to figure out how to export out files from myth so I could brun them on dvd, of course my myth box does not have a dvd burner in it though).
my two other computers are winders machines, and I know just enough to fix somethings, or cause big problems. Any help on setting up the NFS shares would be great. I tried to setup my mythbox with some of this in mind (setting up a directory for music and video files on a seperate drive, so that I am not always hitting one drive over and over again).
