I'll have to play with this. Sounds like it might just work out of the
box, although, would probably still need to be mangled into an RSS
format. As for password being plaintext, it would only be plaintext on
the local machine, in that url format, you're basically just supplying
the auth credentials so no prompt/login screen is required. It would
still go over the net securely.

Well if it goes as far as becoming a plugin, I'd say there's no reason
to even mess with RSS. Heck, fetchmail could retrieve accounts to a
local account, and then would just need a flat file email reader
plugin. Sounds so easy... I need to learn how to make myth plugins :)
