I saw a commit ?yesterday? that makes fading OSD only occur with software playback. The biggest XvMC problem I've seen when seeking is caused by the fading OSD. I got into the habbit for a while of hitting esc quickly after a seek (which keeps the OSD from fading out) and thinsg worked well. Now that this never occurs for XvMC, with .17 I'm sure we'll see XvMC being much more usable. --Brandon
