Hi

Im running mythfrontend and backend on a computer that's currently
without tv-out card, and will remain soo for a few mounts. I've gotten
it to work fine on the tv anyways using my other computer with tv-out
and mythfrontend.

I noticed that lircd had a network feature, tough very poorly
documented how it works i would hope it could solve one problem... but
what am i doing wrong?

On the backend computer i run lircd with --listen, and then on the
computer with the tv-out i run lircd with --connect. This seems to
work fine until i try to use it with some application, like mplayer...

./lircd -n --connect=mbox
lircd 0.7.0: lircd(hauppauge) ready
lircd 0.7.0: connected to mbox
lircd 0.7.0: accepted new client on /dev/lircd <- mplayer connects
lircd 0.7.0: could not open /dev/lirc <- Why does it try to open the
local device
                                                       that does not
exist? What is the point of the
                                                       network
function if it doesn't use the device
                                                       on the host lircd?
lircd 0.7.0: default_init(): No such device
lircd 0.7.0: caught signal

I can't move the physical ir reciver because it's part of the 250 card
in the backend.

Anyone ever used the network functions? Is this how they where intended to be
used, again... due to lack of documentation (that i could find
atleast), i don't really
know.

Thanks
