At first I thought something was broken, but after I jacked up all of the volume levels using alsamixer on my EPIA m10000, I can hear output from files cat'd to /dev/dsp and output from within KDE. But the volumes are really way low... nothing is muted and all of the source selections, etc, look fine. What am I missing?
This was an existing install that was using an SBLive 5.1. I basically ripped out the motherboard and just loaded the new sound module (snd-via82xx), set up modules.conf on a Slack 10.0 system. Eric
