True.  Just keep in mind that nVidia only has designed "initial" ( read 
"basic" ) support for this card in their current linux drivers (6629).  My TV 
only recognizes 480i and 1080i so I use those.  I do not currently have 
access to any of the deinterlacing features "Built In" to the chip set.  If 
leveraged they could offload the impact of deinterlacing operations from the 
host CPU.  Presumably, when these features finally become available from X 
directly, we could disable de-interlacing from myth and probably get much 
better performance for frames per second, motion compensation and such.
