I tend to agree with this logic, with the one exception that it's nice
to know why something didn't record. FYI, if Replay TV v2 can't
record, it creates a "one minute" recording and when you try and play
it back, it just says pops up a box "this program could not record,
check your antenna yada yada yada". I tend to agree with the "My mom
should be able to use" logic when it comes to something like a PVR and
at least it's basic functions. FYI, my mom loves her TiVo and learned
how to use it quicker than that VCRPlus+ enter-a-number to record a
show stuff. Beat that simplicity and you have a device usable by
anyone.

Lastly, wanted to say I have had this problem happen, but it's not
HDTV recording. It was me rebooting my box many times and restarting
mythbackend (to debug ivtv lockup problems I'm having) and the show
starting to record and not, etc. I had one 30 minute show listed 4
times in the recording section, and apparently there where not files
for all of them, now I can't delete two of them and they say 0MB in
size. I sorta figured the problem was that the file didn't exist. I
was just going to clear out them manually from the DB when I got my
mythbox stable enough to use.

Maybe a simple File '2347982374923874.nuv' not found/OK popup when it
can't delete a show?
