I’m using the new firewire interface to capture HDTV from a DCT-6200. This is now working great thanks to a patch by Jim Westfall.
Sadly, the shows I record are coming in at just over 6 gig an hour which is just too much for my wireless frontend to handle perfectly. I had thought about transcoding to MPEG4 and changing the resolution from 1920x1088 to something a tad smaller like 1280x720. However, in the transcoding setup the max resolution I can seem to do is 720x480.
Is there anyway I could setup a custom job or is there some work around for this so that I could transcode the files down to something more manageable?
