Hi,

I am having the same problem as the user in this post:

http://mythtv.org/pipermail/mythtv-dev/2004-June/023392.html

I am using a Terratec Cinergy 400 TV as a secondary card and the newest
atrpms v4l and saa7134 drivers. When changing channels watching Live TV
(or recording), I some times / most of the time get just static noise
instead of sound. But when running:

v4lctl -c /dev/video1 setnorm PAL-BG

from the commandline right after channel change, it tunes the sound in
correctly, always.

I have tried to use the "options tuner pal=[b|g]" settings, but that
does not do it for me. It always seems to fallback to PAL-DK.

I even tried to use a external channel change script with the above
command and a "v4lctl setchannel ...", but that didn't work at all (no
channel change).

>From what I am reading on the v4l mailing list, some people suggests
that the correct thing to do is to set the tv norm from the application
(I understand xawtv does this).

So I am wondering if there is any hope that the patch attached to the
above mail or similar will be included in mythtv sometime ? Or is there
a way to set the tv norm to PAL-BG when changing channels any other
way ?

BTW: I am running mythtv 0.17, and everything works perfectly with the
primary PVR-350 card.

Tor Arne
