At least my brain wasn't failing me. ;-) [snip] > If you do multiple sound cards you need to look up how to specify the > inputs to be recorded. I think one way would be something like > ALSA:hw:0,2 ALSA:hw:1,2 depending on what the actual card/input is > and channel. The numbers would likely be configuration dependent. Not concerned about the ALSA config, my backend just happens to have two sound cards - so I know how to do that, I just don't have any pci slots left for another tuner. hmmmm.... I do have a spare sound card.... and another system that I just use to test out stuff on..... maybe I can put the extra tuners in there and set it up as a slave back-end. That'll burn all that "spare time" I have. ;-) Thanks for the clarification. Lonnie --------------------------------------------------------- On the other hand, you could get a tuner that doesn't require a sound card, like and IVTV based card and save the PCI slots... ---------------------------------------------------------------- Jeff Crystal Network Engineer Novell CNE, Microsoft MCP, Citrix CCA, Compaq APS, HP ASP, Xerox ASP ---------------------------------------------------------------- Integrated Data Solutions Madison Heights, MI (248) 543-5300 ----------------------------------------------------------------
