DVI at 1080i doesn't work on the Nvidia cards. 720p is reported to
work, and 480p definitely does but is boring. You get a strange
double vision due to interlacing bugs.

As for silence, you will be hard pressed to get a 3ghz level processor
to be silent. The use of xvmc (though there are still the odd reported
problems with nvidia cards) could cut your CPU usage a fair bit.

You could get it with a water cooled PC, though...

Note if you have a projection HDTV rather than plasma/LCD panel, the
fan in your projector will be louder than your PC.
