I agree strongly on this. I offered a possible explanation about this on the list a few months ago, which roughly summarized amounts to "broadcasters make their SDTV broadcasts deliberately fuzzy because it looks good on a much wider range of sets." I just pulled that out of my ass, of course; I have no idea what the actual reason is. Cheers, Kyle
