I've got a new tuner type as well and am on 0.1.10, but I did have to screw
around with the modprobe.conf settings to get it to work right. Let me know
if you're going to try and go to the latest version and if you want to see
the modprobe I have.

Wow, thanks for the quick responses. I have tried this card in a windows
machine before, it works great.
It is the new tuner type card, so I have to be careful which version of
ivtv I use, however I was using the 0.99zz...etc (the one in Jarod's guide
before he updated it.) before this one with the same results. I'm 100% sure
it's coming from the card and not the tv-out b/c playing dvd's look perfect.
I am going to try knoppix here shortly to see if I can get
any better results.

And you're recording using this livetv profile?
Have you tried tweaking your default profile?

The live tv profile is the profile that is used for
live tv (at least that's my understanding), but I did
play with the default recording setting and didn't see
any differences with it. At least when I change the
livetv profile I see the effects.
