After getting fed up with the noise that my server was making, I drilled a> <snip>
hole in our living room floor and put the MythTV server in the basement.
I can't hear a peep...
I went straight for that; knew the missus woudn't go for a[nother
PC in the living room. Pretty big hole, though (for me), as all my A/V in/out + IR + network has to go through it.
And due to slight size miscalculation, the door to the coat cupboard the PC's now in does't /quite/ shut. Oops.
But it's nice and quiet :-) (well, unless you're standing next to the coat cupboard).
