Can this machine be used simultaneously as a PVR and a workstation?
Yes, I have a similar setup. Video via SVHS, extended audio cable to amplifier, extended remote cable from PVR-250 to the tv set. I use the DVI connector for my desktop monitor.
Works reasonably well, unless I'm running cpu or hdd intensive tasks. Then the video playback will start to stutter. Regular office stuff won't hurt though.
